He was worked extensively within Australia, and also in Africa, India and the Middle East. Doug has assisted Biota with technical investigations and advice on the physical framework of many study areas. |

Dr Terrie Finston | Population Geneticist
Terrie completed her PhD on population genetics and development of ostracods. Her post-doctoral research at the University of WA has focused on the genetic of subterranean amphipods in the Pilbara. Biota has worked closely with Terrie during her ongoing research, collecting many of the specimens used in her research from remote locations in the Pilbara.

Mr Greg Harold | Herpetologist and Photographer
Greg has 35 years experience in fauna surveys and the collection of herpetofauna from across Australia. He is an accomplished wildlife photographer and his superb images of Australian fauna have appeared in a range of publications. Greg frequently participates in Biota fauna surveys, contributing his experience and familiarity with the herpetofauna of Western Australia.

Mr Piers Higgs | Gaia Resources
Piers has a long association with Biota having worked on GIS and environmental data projects with Biota staff over the past decade. He established Gaia Resources as a consultancy specialising in GIS and data management in 2005, and currently provides database design and related services to Biota.

Oceanica provides specialist consultancy services in the fields of marine, coastal and estuarine science. Biota and Oceanica have worked together on a number of projects involving terrestrial and marine elements, and the two firms share similar high standards and corporate principles.

Dr Eric Paling | Marine Macrophyte Researcher
Eric is the Director of the NATA-accredited Marine and Freshwater Research Laboratory (MAFRL) based at Murdoch University. He is also a senior lecturer at Murdoch, with research interests including mangroves, seagrass and marine ecology. Eric has an extensive publication history, and has collaborated with Biota on several projects involving mangrove impact assessments.

Dr Jane Prince | Community Ecologist
Jane has a Masters of Science in stream ecology and a PhD on marine ecology of reef platform communities at Rottnest Island. She is a senior lecturer at the School of Animal Biology at the University of WA. Jane has more than 25 years' experience in marine ecology, experimental design and analysis. She has been involved in strengthening these aspects of several Biota projects.

Malcolm Trudgen | ME Trudgen & Associates
Malcolm is a botanist with over 30 years experience in flora and vegetation studies in all regions of Western Australia. Malcolm has completed many benchmark studies of vegetation conservation values and is a taxonomic authority on several families. He has provided advice and assistance to Biota's botanists on a wide range of projects. |
